Increase PHP apc.shm_size

When faced with the error “Unable to allocate memory for pool” then you may want to change the apc.shm_size.

Follow these steps in the control panel to change the apc.shm_size:

  1. Go to “My products”> “Web hosting”> Click on the button “Manage hosting” to the right of your domain name for which you want to protect a folder.
  2. Choose in the left menu for “PHP settings” and in the tab “General” go to “Opcode caching”.
  3. Click on the dropdown menu to change the apc.shm_size.
  4. Then click on “Save settings” to confirm this.
