An update on the landrush for numeric .nl domain names

The landrush for numeric .nl domain names like e.g. 123.nl or 0800.nl has already caused a lot of controversy. Two parties have indeed registered a large quantity of numeric .nl domain names. After having received a huge amount of complaints, the SIDN has organised a poll amongst its members. 69% of them voted to hold a new lottery and only 18% wanted a new landrush. The lottery will allot about 4,000 numeric domain names amongst the participants who submitted a request during the initial landrush.
