Google allows ads with trade marks of competitors

Google announced that from 14th September, advertising with trade marks of competitors will be allowed. That means that Audi, for instance, will be able to advertise in the sponsored links for searches for BMW. Until now, companies could register their trade marks with Google, so that third parties could not use them in their ads. This measure is the result of a decision of the European Court of Justice.

This new change will have its advantages and its disadvantages. It will e.g. be more important to advertise with your own trade marks. Make sure you also use your free Google voucher via Combell.
