BelgentoMagento will be highlighted at the Belgento event that will be held on 5 June 2014 in Edegem.

Open source web application Magento, which was launched in 2008, has now become a very popular e-commerce tool. According to figures published by aheadWorks in April 2014, Magento would currently be among the most popular e-commerce platforms, with a market share of 34%.

Combell too allows you to build a web store using the Magento platform. Combell can install Magento for free (on request) with your hosting package, and provides Magento hosting from 10 euros per month.

Would you like to get more info about Magento and are you looking forward to discovering customer cases, presented by people who will talk about their own experience with Magento? No problem! For the second time, Magento community bEcomUnity will organise Belgento in Belgium, an event aimed at promoting Magento and of which Combell is a Gold Sponsor.

On 5 June 2014, you will be able to attend several presentations including case-based studies in the Ter Elst convention centre in Edegem. Here are the names of some of the speakers who will be there:

Frédéric de Gombert, CEO and cofounder of Akeneo, will explain how Magento is used in his company that specialises in Product Information Management (PIM). Management and centralisation of the technical and marketing information of a web store’s catalogue is in fact extremely important for the success of a (web) company.

Pascal Sabbe, e-commerce manager at, will share his experience with Magento and beauty products. (pronounce “You”) originally started as Equiform, and has been operating on the Belgian market since 1995. iU, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Multipharma, counts 121 brick-and-mortar stores, but the products can also be ordered online.

As for Johan Groffen, partner with Print & Media Kitchen, he uses Magento in a completely different business area, i.e. printing. Via the website, users can order all sorts of printed matter for business and personal use.

Matthias Dobbelaere, cofounder of MyLex and CEO of deJuristen, which specialises in Internet law on the Belgian market, will be discussing the legal aspects of e-commerce.

Naturally, during the lunch, the afternoon break and the cocktail party, there will be plenty of opportunities to share ideas with others about Magento and the possibilities that the open source e-commerce web application offers. If you want to be there too, you can sign in on the Belgento website, where you will also find further information as well as the schedule for this special day.
