A CMS (Content Management System) is software that allows you to easily create a website without much coding knowledge. Well-known examples include WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla. You can install these with just a few clicks through our control panel. In this article, we explain how.
Our web hosting is also compatible with most other CMS platforms, which you can manually install on your hosting account.
Install WordPress, Joomla or Drupal via the control panel
Via the control panel we also offer a 1-click install of the most popular CMS systems:
Follow these steps in the control panel to install WordPress, Drupal or Joomla:
- Go to “My products”> “Web hosting”> Click on “Manage” next to your domain name.
- In the menu on the left you choose “CMS installation”.
- Select the CMS and the version you want to install. For new websites, we recommend using the latest versions.
- Choose the domain name where the CMS should be installed. By default, this is your domain name without the www. prefix.
- Set a title and language for your website.
- Choose a username and password that you will later use to log in to the back end of your website.
- Check the email address and tick the checkbox.
- Click the button to start the installation. Once it’s complete, log in to your CMS using the login details you just created.
