Follow this guide to get started with Managed WordPress or WooCommerce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1:<\/strong> First-time setup<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before you can get started, you’ll have to set up your WordPress via the controlpanel<\/a>. You’ll have to give your website a name, choose a login etc. It’s pretty straight forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To start the first-time setup, go to “My Products” > “Web hosting” > and click on “Manage hosting” next to your domain name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2:<\/strong> Access your website<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After this setup your WordPress website and hosting is ready to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To access your website, follow these steps in the controlpanel<\/a>
<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to “My Products” > Web hosting” > and click on “Manage hosting” next to your domain name.<\/li>
  2. Click on “Log in to your website” in the upper right corner. It will take you to the backend of your WordPress website.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Access your database
    <\/strong>To access your database, click on “phpMyAdmin” further down the page<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 3:<\/strong> Access your files via FTP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    If you access your Managed WordPress via FTP, you can review and edit both the frontend and backend. You’ll have to create an FTP user first<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 4:<\/strong> Create a test environment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Having a test environment is a very helpful tool. It gives you the option to test changes you want to introduce to your website, without impact on your live website. Try a new WordPress theme or plugin for example without risking that your visitors seeing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    With Managed WordPress you can create such a test environment with the click of a button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To create a test environment, follow these steps in the controlpanel<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Go to “My Products” > Web hosting” > and click on “Manage hosting” next to your domain name.<\/li>
    2. Click on “Test environments” in the menu on the left<\/li>
    3. Now click on “Add a test environment” in the upper right corner. It will take you to the setup.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
