Make backups of your SiteBuilder website

How do I create a backup?

  1. From the Widgets menu to your left click on Settings Settings
  2. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the window. Click on the ‘Backup and Restore’ button.Backup and restore
  3. Here you can ‘Create a new backup’ if you click on the button.Create a new backup
  4. Select whether you are backing up your published site – the version of the website that is currently online, OR the version you are working on in your editor.Backup
  5. Make sure you fill in a name and a comment. Don’t bother to add a date, or a published/editor note. The SiteBuilder saves that information for you.Name and content
  6. Click on ‘Create Backup’Create backup

How do I restore from a backup?

  1. From the Widgets menu to your left click on SettingsSettings
  2. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the window. Click on the ‘Backup and Restore’ button.Backup and restore
  3. Select a backup you wish to restore from. If you have multiple files, you can select based on the date and the type – published or draft. (Click on the arrow before the name to unveil the information)Select backup
  4. Click on the button ‘Restore’restore
  5. Confirm by clicking on ‘I am sure’Confirm
  6. Your project has been restored from backup!

Have in mind different SiteBuilder packages have a different number of backup slots

  • SiteBuilder1 allows no backups
  • SiteBuilder2 allows 1 backup
  • SiteBuilder3 allows 10 backups
