This spring edition will take place in the new COMBELL offices, where all interested parties are welcome from 7:30 PM.

This free event is a forum where PHP enthusiasts can share their experiences. Via 2 presentations, topics such as new techniques, best practices and case studies will be approached. After these presentations, people will be free to have a drink and a chat in the bar of our new complex.

Since COMBELL offers quality hosting since day one for the LAMP stack, the interest and involvement does not come as a surprise. In the context of COMBELL’s 10th anniversary and with the necessary pride, we will function as a sponsor and place the location at the visitor's disposal.

Thijs Feryn, our support manager, will give the first presentation. This way, COMBELL will also contribute to the content of the event. In his capacity as a “Zend Certified PHP 5 developer”, Thijs has been professionally busy with PHP development for years and because of his experience within the support team, he is confronted every day with practical PHP cases in a hosted environment. If you have ever contacted our support team with PHP related questions, there is a great chance that you already spoke to Thijs. His presentation is entitled: “CLI, the other SAPI” and describes in a detailed manner PHP development via command line.

The second presentation of the evening will be given by Juliette Reinders Folmer. This Dutch lady is a veteran in the world of PHP and she proudly represents PHPWomen in the Benelux. Her presentation is entitled “Everything you always wanted to know about UTF-8 (but never dared to ask)” and approaches one of the hottest topics in PHP.

For more information about this event, surf to http://www.phpbelgium.be/events/23032009/phpbelgium-meeting-april.
