Database replication, mirroring and clustering expert
SLA for your database infrastructure
The database is the actual heart of your company. It is here that all company critical data reside. Of course, Combell's team comprises experienced database administrators. They take care of the installation, maintenance and backup of your database.
At the same time, you sign an SLA (Service Level Agreement) with Combell regarding the availability of your database. In case of a performance problem, we will take care of it for you. That way, your database administrator can fully focus on his core duties.
Database replication, mirroring and clustering for Microsoft SQL and MySQL
Combell supports, among other environments, SQL (Microsoft) and MySQL (Linux). For both environments, Combell can perform replication. On MySQL, you can choose between master-master or master-slave replication.
With SQL on Microsoft, there is mirroring, replication and clustering. With mirroring, the solution saves the files in two locations. Replication works according to the principle that the files are replicated in a second location.
Multi-node clustering
With clustering, two database servers act as a single logical entity. A cluster can be active-active, which means it is distributed over two nodes.
With an active-passive cluster, all resources are located on one single node, with a second node as backup solution in case the active node fails. Moreover, we also have extensive expertise with multi-node clustering and we can manage up to three or four database nodes per cluster.
Postgres, Oracle and Sybase
Moreover, Combell has expertise with Postgres, Oracle and Sybase databases.
For the latter two, Combell collaborates with partners. At the customer's request, we can suggest several partners, after which we select - in close collaboration with the partner - the one with the expertise that best fits your specific requirements. Here too, you can count on Combell to act as an independent advisor.
