Daily backups
 Each night, all data on the COMBELL servers are backed up. Those backups are stored at the data centre, as well as at COMBELL headquarters.
Suppose you or your webmaster deletes some very important files by accident; or your customer needs another version of a file (i.e a version that is already some weeks/months old). In these cases, you can contact COMBELL support to have one or more files restored.

Securing directories and files
 Certain directories and/or files can better not be made accessible to each website visitor, but are only meant for restricted access (members, suppliers, customers) or even webmaster only, like - for example - the directories that hold vital files for your website to function properly.
Via the control panel, you can easily protect those using a username and password. Different users are optional (via the HTAdmin scripts with .htacces and .htpasswd security).
SSL Certificate (option)
 Securing your website with an SSL certificate is optional. If you use one, all your visitor's data, from their own computer all the way to the hosting server, will be sent over a secured https-connection.
Having a personal IP-address instead of the standard shared IP-address on your hosting account is required for installing SSL on your hosting account. This costs 50 EUR per year, excl. VAT.
When you receive your personal SSL Certificate, you will have to pay a one time fee of 30 EUR (excl. VAT) for configuration and installation costs. If you don't have a SSL Certificate yet, you can buy one from COMBELL. A 128-bit SSL Certificate costs 150 € per year (excl. VAT).
If the SSL certificate was not delivered by COMBELL setup cost will be 100 EUR.
IP Filtering
 With IP Filtering, you can protect yourself against unwanted visitors or limit access to your server or website.
Via the control panel, you can enter which IP-addresses are not allowed acess to your server or website.
This Apache webserver feature is available on Linux hosting only.
Firewall protection
Each COMBELL hosting server is by default protected with redundant hardware firewalls in order to protect your data.
