How can I transfer my website to COMBELL?
You have a domain name with company X and you wish to transfer it to COMBELL? During the transfer, your website will remain constantly online and accessible to your visitors of course. Click here to find out more about transfers.
If I buy a hosting package, does this include one or more domain name registrations?
When buying a hosting package, there is usually no domain name included UNLESS we are running a special promotion that does. However, if you already own a domain name, when you buy a hosting package at COMBELL the domain name can be transfered ánd renewed for 1 year for free.
Can I put my own hosting package together?
No, you can not put your own hosting package together. All our hosting packages are explained on our website. Of course, you can at any time activate extra options in addition to your standard package. You can activate extra data transfer and extra e-mail accounts. However, you cannot create extra webspace. If you need extra webspace, you will have to switch to a higher hosting package (which you can do at any time, without any problem).
Can I upgrade my hosting to a bigger (higher) package?
You can - at any time - switch to a higher package. Your remaining months will be deducted from the new package. e.g. You have been using a Linux Basic package for 7 months and you wish to switch to a Linux Plus package now. That means that 91,25 € will be deducted from your Linux Plus package price.
How did we get to this amount? A Linux Basic package costs 219 €. Divide this amount by 12 months and multiply with the remaining months (5), which equals 91,25 €.
What are the terms of delivery for a hosting package and what does it contain?
It's a 'virtual' package. There won't be any boxed software sent to your home address. Everything happens via the Internet.
Can I pay per month?
No, you can not pay per month. The minimum term of payment for shared hosting and database hosting is always per full year.
When will my hosting package be activated?
Your hosting package will be activated as soon as we have received payment. If you are paying online, activation is done almost immediately. If you prefer to pay by bank transfer, we will activate your package as soon as the money is in our bank account.
Can I use the hosting packages with a Macintosh/Apple computer?
You can use our hosting packages with any computer with an internet connection. It doesn't matter whether you use Macintosh, Linux, Unix, OS 2, Windows or even a 'good old' Amiga.
Can I link an extra domain name to my website? How does this procedure work?
Yes, you can link extra domain names to your hosting package. All you have to do is order a domain name. When the domain name is being activated, you'll get access to the domain name's control panel, where you can make the link yourself.
If I am not satisfied with your services, can I switch to another provider?
Yes, you can. However, at COMBELL, we will make sure you don't have to switch to another provider. We will simply give you the best support and service available. If you wish to transfer anyway, COMBELL will not block you.
The term of notice for shared hosting and domain names is 1 month. You can cancel your current agreement by sending an e-mail to administration@combell.com
