Root access to your own virtual server

You have the full management rights on your own server. With the SSH (Secure Shell) root access, you can create a secure connection to your server via the programme Putty or via Terminal Services for Windows servers. You can choose the software that you want to install and you can even set the access rights of possible other users.

Free firewall security

All our virtual servers are automatically secured via a redundant WatchGuard firewall. By default, the firewall is set to high security. If necessary, we can configure extra IP ports and rules.

Our DELL Poweredge 2950 servers with Intel Dual Xeon 1.60 GHz Clovertown Quad Core processors harness the combined power of eight processors and several GBs of RAM. This extremely powerful hardware guarantees maximal ease of use in terms of both speed and performances.

A virtual server can be compared to a light version of a dedicated server. Indeed, at Combell, your virtual server actually runs on one of our extremely powerful and reliable servers, but you can choose yourself which software and extra plug-ins you want to install to customize your VPS according to your personal needs. Even rebooting is one of the possibilities.

No influence from other users on the server

A local copy of the operating system runs on each VPS. Your virtual server works in what is referred to as a "sandbox". That means that your system will not be influenced in any way by the presence of other virtual servers on the same physical server. In the event that a failure occurs on another virtual server, you will not even notice it.
