Managed Firewall

A firewall protects you against hacking attacks. Hackers try to steal or even destroy the data on your server. By linking your server to our redundant Managed Firewall, the access to your server is drastically restricted. Together with Combell, you determine the ports via which your server is accessible. Combell tales care of the installation and the full management of the firewall. Managed Firewall is included free of charge from the SLA Basic package.

Managed Backup

Your data on your server are crucial. You can perform a local backup on your server yourself. But what if your hard disk crashes or if your server gets stolen? With our Managed Backup, our technicians configure your server so that it performs a daily backup of all the data on your server. These data are stored at an external location in another data centre. The data can be restored if they are not older than 7 days. Every day, we perform a full backup that we store in our offices for a period of 2 months. So, you can never lose more than 24 hours of data. Thanks to our specialised software, we can restore your data in any situation on your old or a new server. Managed Backup is available as an option with each SLA package.

Managed Software

Security begins with software and application updates that are performed on time and correctly. Via bugs, hackers can sometimes take over full control of your server. That is why Combell automatically offers patch management, with which we install the updates on your server. We have chosen to offer this service entirely free of charge. Many server managers indeed postpone such updates. The fact that Combell systematically performs these updates enhances the quality of our network.
Managed Software is included with each SLA package.

Managed SSL VPN

With our Managed Firewall, we already block all unused ports. This way, we block ports that hackers may possibly use. But if you want the best security, you can get it with a Managed SSL VPN. For this, we create a closed tunnel between your computer and the server, coupled with a user name, a password and/or an IP address. This way, only the real manager can access the server.
Managed SSL VPN is included with our Pro and Premium SLAs.

Managed Monitoring

Your server must work optimally, 24/7. If your server threatens to be unavailable, it is crucial to know it as soon as possible. That is why Combell offers Managed Monitoring, with which we check the availability and the performances of your server every 5 minutes. In the event that a failure occurs, you receive an e-mail and/or SMSs depending on your chosen Service Level Agreement (SLA) and the on-duty system manager is also notified.

Every 5 minutes, we check the HTTP, ICMP, POP3 and SMTP services, as well as disk space. Upon your request, we can also monitor other services, such as the CPU load, the response time of the SQL server, etc.

Optionally, Combell can also offer performance monitoring, with which we analyse and evaluate the resources of your server. Statistics give you daily, weekly, monthly and yearly graphic reports. Depending on the installed applications, we make an inventory of the performances of the disk space, the physical and virtual memory, the CPU load, the number of active processes, the IIS data (attempts, connections, requests) and the network statistics (TCP connections, usages).

Managed Monitoring is included with our SLA Pro. With the other SLA packages, this is available as an option (without performance monitoring) for € 50 per month.
