Advanced monitoring
Advanced Monitoring includes all the options of Basic Monitoring. With Advanced Monitoring, however, the Customer can include two people in the Customer's company on the distribution list for SMS messages or e-mail messages. This means that two contacts in the Customer's company are notified via SMS or e-mail when one or several services fail. SMS messages can only be delivered in Belgium and the Netherlands.
The addition of mobile numbers in our monitoring system must be requested by the Customer. With Advanced Monitoring, Combell performs checks at shorter intervals than with Basic Monitoring with relation to the services below:
- Availability of (secured) web pages: every 2 minutes
- ICMP (ping, host availability): every 2 minutes
- POP3 and SMTP: every 5 minutes
- Disk usage: every 10 minutes
- Average system load: every 10 minutes
- RAID controller status: every 10 minutes
- Remote access availability: every 10 minutes
- Custom controls (e.g.: content check, services, etc.)
Upon request, other services can also be monitored (such as a Windows service, an application that runs via another port, the CPU load, the response time of SQL Server, etc.). Depending on the type of service or application that must be monitored, a one-time development fee may be charged in consultation with the Customer. This falls under Advanced Support. Per Advanced Monitoring package, a maximum of 15 checks can be performed per server.
