Extended validation works according to the strict extended validation (EV) guidelines. Via the green address bar, thanks to the EV certificate, you increase the confidence of (potential) customers on your website. Moreover, the financial compensations in case of abuse are much higher. This makes these SSL certificates ideal for web stores and other privacy-sensitive websites and applications.

With organisation validation SSL certificates, your company information are included in the certificate. This gives the end user the utmost certainty that the identity of the owner of the website is entirely correct. SSL certificates without company information do not state a verified owner and are therefore considered less secure.
