11 GB webspace included
Definition: webspace is the total amount of space - for all your hosting packages together - that will be reserved for you on the COMBELL server(s)
You can divide this total amount of webspace available, amongst all of your individual hosting packages in any way you would like to.
Example: if you put a 578kb picture on your website, this will use 578kb of your webspace.
If you remove the picture, the 578kb webspace will be freed up again.
Unlimited number of mailboxes
For each hosting package individually, you can decide the number of mailboxes that should be made available.
E-mail is stored in separate mailboxes, with their own user name and password. Each mailbox can have an unlimited number
of aliases.
Example: info@domainname.com can be your mailbox, but sales@domainname.com can be an alias of this mailbox.
Both will arrive at the same computer. However, if the second address is meant for another computer, you should create
a separate mailbox. COMBELL uses industry standard POP3 mailservers.
Unlimited number of FTP users
For each individual hosting package, you can decide the number of FTP users that should be made available. With these
FTP user accounts your customers can transfer their files to/from their hosting package. Each FTP user is secured
with a different username and password.
Each user has their own root folder, which you or your customer can decide upon, so as to be able to work completely
separated.
300 GB Data transfer
Definition: data transfer is the data traffic volume between a hosting package and the internet.
Usually it would be between a domain and the internet, although in the case of reseller hosting it
is applicable to all domains hosted on your reseller hosting package.
With a Linux Reseller Start package for example, the maximum total amount of data transfer for all your customers together during 1 month is 300 GB.
It is possible - without any problem - to sell for example 8 hosting packages to your customers with a maximum limit of 10 GB data transfer, as long as they don't exceed the 300 GB total limit per month. COMBELL only takes into account the total amount of data transfer used for all your packages; not the limits you set for your customers.
Example: when a visitor is downloading a 3kb page with 17kb pictures, your data transfer volume is increased with 20kb. It is important to know that many visitors are using proxy servers and local caches, which means that the same picture does not always have to be re-downloaded. An average standard website only has between 250 and 400MB data transfer per month. Therefore, an average website never even reaches the monthly 10.000 MB limit of our shared hosting
'Start' package.
30 hosting packages included
Each hosting package can be individually managed as far as webspace volume (MB), number of mailboxes, FTP users, data transfer, etc... are concerned.
You can - at any time - buy extra hosting packages as an option to your current Reseller hosting package.
This way, you can subdivide your total amount of webspace/mailboxes/data transfer among the available hosting packages.
Personalised error messages
After activation of this feature, your customers can have a personalised 404-error-page appearing if a non-existing page is requested on their domain name. There is also 500 and other frequent error-pages support.
All error messages can be edited through the online control panel.
Frontpage extensions
Are your customers creating websites using the user-friendly Microsoft Frontpage program? By activating the Frontpage extensions in a hosting package, the Frontpage program will be able to connect to and communicate directly with
the COMBELL webserver(s).
If you'd use Frontpage but don't have Frontpage extensions activated and you would upload your website files to the server via FTP for example, direct Frontpage interaction with the COMBELL server will not be possible (e.g. making on-server changes to your website, using some 'forms' or a dynamic guestbook, etc...).
As a reseller, you can decide whether your customers will get this option included in their hosting package.
You could charge them for it as being an extra option on a yearly basis.
High speed internet connections
Visiting a website on any COMBELL server or transfering files to/from it always happens at the highest possible speed of one's internet connection.
COMBELL always has the required bandwidth at its disposal. That is why we can always guarantee a high speed and
solid network, even at peak moments.
