Via FAQ or frequently asked questions, we try to answer most of the questions, frequently asked by our resellers.
Frequently asked questions for resellers
Do I need a VAT-number in order to get started as a reseller?
No. You can also buy a COMBELL
reseller package, even if you don't have a VAT-number (yet).
Can I get COMBELL support as a reseller? And what about my customers?
As a COMBELL reseller, you are the support and contact person for your customers. The COMBELL helpdesk will never get in touch with one of your customers. Neither will they give direct support to your customers. All correspondence goes via the reseller. In case you - as reseller - have questions, which you cannot answer immediately, you can get in touch with the COMBELL helpdesk, which will of course help you.
Can I determine my own prices and packages myself?
Of course, you are completely free to determine your own prices and packages. An example : with a
COMBELL Reseller package, you can create a customer account with 200 MB and 5 mailboxes and another one with 345 MB and 84 mailboxes. COMBELL gives you an amount of MB, mailboxes and data transfer volume, which you can divide among the available hosting packages you'd like to sell. As long as you don't exceed the limit, you can make as many adjustments as you want.
Is it easy to upgrade if I need more webspace, hosting packages and data transfer volume?
A
COMBELL Reseller package is very flexible. Your package grows along with the size of your company.
You can, at any time, buy extra credits for extra hosting packages, webspace, data transfer volume or upgrade to a higher Reseller package.
Can my customers see that they are really hosted at COMBELL?
COMBELL will do everything possible so that your customers will not notice they are hosted by COMBELL. Your customer's domain names will be on anonymous nameservers, so not "ns1.combell.net" or "ns2.combell.net".
There won't be any references to COMBELL in the control panel. You can even integrate your own company logo in your hosting packages' control panel.
Can I have my own nameservers, such as ns1.myname.com
and ns2.myname.com ?
Yes. Think BIG and request your own nameservers with your reseller package. We will then register all of your and your customers domain names on your own nameserver, such as
"ns1.yourcompany.com" and "ns2.yourcompany.com".
Your customers will think you have your own servers at your disposal in Brussels and your prestige as "webhosting provider" will of course increase..
How can I place an order at COMBELL?
There are 5 steps: going from 'order' to 'activation', without any difficult operations. Via this 5-steps-process, you can place any order in less then 5 minutes. Click here to take a look at the 5-steps-process.
Can I get an upgrade to a (higher) package?
You can, at any time, move on to a higher package. Your remaining months will be deducted from your new package price.
Example: You have been using a Linux Reseller Basic package for 7 months and you wish to move on to a Linux Reseller Pro package. This means that 350 EURO will be deducted from your Linux Reseller Pro package.
How did we calculate this? A Linux Basic package costs 840 EURO. Divide this by 12 months and and multiply by the remaining months (i.e. 5). That equals 350 EURO.
Can I pay per month?
Monthly payments are not allowed. Minimum term of payment for reseller hosting is per quarter. For expansion options (such as extra webspace, hosting packages, etc...) the minimum term of payment is per year.
When will my hosting package be activated?
Your package will be activated, as soon as we have received payment. If you pay online, activation is done almost immediately. If you prefer however to pay by bank transfer, your hosting package will be activated as soon as the money is in our account.
