Consider following topics when registering a domain name:
- You can not register a domain name which has already been registered ('first come, first served'-basis). How can you find out if a domain name has already been registered? Check with our WHOIS-module!
- Some domain names are put 'on hold': a judicial procedure might be going on or perhaps the old registrar has lost his domain name license. This means the domain name still has to be transferred to a new registrar. This kind of domain names is not available for registration.
- Domain names can only contain letters, numbers and/or hyphens.
- Domain names always have to start and end with a letter or number.
- Domain names should consist of min. 2 and max. 63 characters.
- Hyphens can not be used one after another.
