The owner of facebook.nl lost his domain name
In April, we already informed you through our weblog that it was possible that the owner of facebook.nl may have to give up his domain name. What is striking is that he registered the domain name before the Facebook community saw the light. Facebook did offer a 5-digit amount first, but the Dutch owner did not accept that offer. Facebook then filed a complaint with WIPO (World Intellectual Properties Organisation), which decided that Facebook was entitled to the domain name Facebook.nl. Currently, if you visit www.facebook.nl, you will however end up on a 404 error page.
