Official launch date .eu domain names announced!

December 7 2005: .EU launch for trademark holders

Finally! December 7 is the day you can register your .EU domain name. But not for everyone. Only with certain rights can you claim your name. The first period, Sunrise Period 1, is meant for:

    * Companies, institutions and authorities that own any registered brand national or European

    * The full name of a location indicator (country, state, province, city, village, suburb etc)

    * All acronyms of the full name of a location indicator

    * When applicable, the region where the location is situated

To apply for the first Sunrise Period you need a registered brand name. If you don't have one yet, now's your chance to get one quickly and affordable. Don't wait to long though! You only have until half of November to get your application through on time.

Februari 7 2006: .EU launch for all companies

Februari 7 2006 is the launchday for Sunrise Period 2. As of that date companies are able to register a .EU domain name without the need of a brand registration. Would you like to know more? Read all about Sunrise periode 2 on our website.

April 7 2006: .EU launch for everyone!

The day that everyone has been waiting for! Form that date on anyone can register a .EU domain name. If you don't want to miss out on the domain name you where hoping for than pre-register now!
