.nl, green light for numeric domain names.

For several extensions, registering numeric domain names such as 123.com has been possible for a while.

However, it hasn’t been possible yet for .nl domains.

Why? Because the technical platform wasn’t designed for this.

SIDN Nederland has decided to make up for this and has seized the opportunity to simultaneously launch .nl numeric domains. Registrations of these numeric domain names will start with a Sunrise period, which will begin in autumn 2008. This means that if you own a numeric trademark or trade name, you can request your .nl numeric domain.
