Domain names: millions of dollars to be made
It’s been proven again: there’s a lot of money to be made with domain names.
Especially domains that already generate millions of dollars in their trade are gaining popularity.
In a previous report, we mentioned that the business.com domain had been sold for 7.5 million dollars. Today, several years later, this domain name has been sold again for the astounding amount of 345 million dollars.
Pharmacy.com is also for sale and is very popular among manufacturers of prescription drugs. This domain name will probably sell for between 5 and 50 million dollars.
The most expensive available domain names that aren’t activated yet already generate huge amounts of money owing to advertising and pay-per-click campaigns. These domain names, even though inactivated, attract a huge amount of visitors, which is exactly what this market wants. So, sex.com has been sold for 12 million dollars and porn.com has been sold for 9.5 million dollars.
The market isn’t saturated yet and it is still possible to register interesting domains with a strong potential of becoming domains worth millions of dollars.
