Belgique.com was sold for 25,000 euros

The fact that geodomains (top level domains composed of geographic entities) are very popular is again proved by a number of sales made through the online marketplace Sedo.com. Last month, Belgique.com was indeed sold for 25,000 euros, and Bruxelles.com did even better: 28,500 euros! The most expensive name, however, remains Israel.com, that was sold in June 2008 for 5.88 million euros, achieving a better result than America.com that was sold at the same auction for “only” 1.7 million dollars.
