.at domain name renewal scam

After the fraud signed Domain Registry of America (DRA), another company has appeared on the market trying to take over domains illegally.

Domain Renewal, the fraudulent company, sends e-mail warnings reporting that the receiver’s .at domain name will expire soon. This e-mail contains a link that prevents the domain name from being renewed and that transfers it to the fraudulent company. So, be careful if you receive such an e-mail.

COMBELL only sends you an invoice for your domain name renewal. Still in doubt? Just log into your control panel, where you can always check which domain names we manage for you, as well as their expiry date.

We advise you to group all your domains with one single company in order to exclude the risk of becoming the victim of such a scam.

Domain pirates like Domain Renewal generally aim for .com domains, as these are still the most profitable domains in the international business world.

Should you doubt the authenticity of the bill you received, do not hesitate to contact us. We will then verify with you if this concerns a domain registered through COMBELL or not.
