2.5 million .NL domains
On 08/08/2007, SIDN announced that the 2.5 millionth .nl domain name had been registered. Since 2003, there has been an amazing increase in the number of .nl domain names.
The millionth .nl domain was registered as early as December 2003. In August 2006, the 2 million mark was reached. Now, merely one year later, 2.5 million domain names have been registered under this TLD.
What does this mean concretely? It means that since the launch of the .eu domain, .nl has undergone a 25 % growth in just one year’s time!
