Think Media hosts "heavy" websites at Combell

Think Media, that – via its subsidiaries De Vrije Pers N.V. and Meta Media NV – is the publisher of Ché, P-Magazine, Menzo, Motoren&Toerisme and Officieel Playstation Magazine (among others), chose Combell as its reliable hosting partner. Since all its websites welcome thousands of visitors every day and to ensure optimal e-mail traffic, they needed a new partner.

With over 500,000 readers on a weekly basis, the website of P-Magazine single-handedly welcomes thousands of visitors every day. Those visitors must be able to visit the websites 24/7. Because of the great interactivity of the websites, the company could not have them hosted by an average web hoster.

Ann Nisot of Think Media explains why Combell was chosen: “Uptime is critical for our websites. Visitors do not want to regularly get error messages and for our collaborators, it is important that their e-mail is always available. Moreover, we do not have time to read thousands of spam messages and therefore require efficient spam filters”.

“Customers like to be helped in their own language”, says Christophe Van den Bulcke, marketing manager at Combell. “Most of our customers are located in Belgium and the Netherlands and find support very important. Moreover, with us, customers are not just numbers and everyone can get in touch with us, from individuals to large companies such as Think Media. We can even grow along with the customer: one can start with a small hosting package and grow until a personal server or an entire rack in our data centre is necessary”.

The importance of server hosting is confirmed by Combell. That is why we intend to open our own data centre in Ghent in 2010. It will be one of the first local new generation data centres in Belgium.
