In 2009, Combell grew with nearly 25%

Ghent, 19 January 2010 - In 2009, Combell, Belgium’s largest independent hosting company, celebrated its 10th birthday. But growth was achieved in 2009 as well: the holding’s turnover grew with 23%, reaching 8 million euros, 15 new colleagues joined the team and the range of products and services was considerably expanded. In 2009,

  • we launched a new website, a new logo and a new house style;
  • we hired 15 new colleagues, among whom a CTO, an HRM and a Project Manager;
  • the Combell Academy, which offers a wide range of free trainings, was created;
  • Combell was present at several trade shows and events, among which DMF, Webscene and E-commerce Forum;
  • we were rewarded with the “Best Belgian Performer Award 2008” as Belgium’s main .be agent;
  • we took over BeSite and Globalhost (among others);
  • we launched a unique and innovative multi-data centre solution for the Enterprise market, using Border Gateway Protocol instead of traditional DNS systems (which allows to eliminate downtime);
  • our customer base grew and so did our consolidated turnover, which reached 8 million euros (versus 6,5 million in 2008 and 4 million in 2007).

Perspectives for 2010

"Our goal is clear. Combell wants to reinforce its position as a market leader in 2010 as well. We are currently putting the finishing touch to a few new products before launching them. Continuous innovation, long-term relations and customer satisfaction are our priorities and in 2010, our customers will be able to reap the benefits of this strategy", says Jonas Dhaenens, Combell’s CEO.
