Combell concludes 2 new takeovers

Ghent, August 13, 2009 – Combell, the largest autonomous Belgian hosting company, has taken over Besite’s and Globalhost’s hosting activities. Besite, a company from Leuven, managed 4,500 domain names and 500 web hostings for over 1,000 customers. Globalhost, a company from Wervik, is a smaller takeover. With these takeovers, Combell reinforces its market position in Belgium.

Besite Internet Solutions

“Besite is a young and dynamic company specialized in Internet, SMS and payment solutions. Some of those Internet solutions are transferred to Combell in order for us to better focus on other business units”, says Joeri De Leener from Besite. 

“Owing to the fact that Combell has performed many takeovers on the Benelux market during the past few months and years, this company seemed like a suitable takeover partner to us. Moreover, it’s mostly their expertise and service that play a large role: our customers deserve the best support in the future as well”, says De Leener.

Strategic takeover

Jonas Dhaenens, Managing Director of Combell Holding NV: “These takeovers fit perfectly with our strategy to further reinforce our market position and to display strong organic growth. We certainly do not exclude that other takeovers will ensue in 2009.”

More options for ex-Besite customers

“Besite and Globalhost customers are incorporated in Combell’s customer base and will also have their own account manager. That way, the integration should take place without a glitch. The customers will gain access to a larger selection of Internet services like e.g. hosted exchange, online fax, virtual & dedicated servers, SharePoint hosting and tailor-made customer solutions. All customers have been contacted in writing personally and all websites have already been transferred to our infrastructure”, says Dhaenens.
