Combell is the first Belgian hoster to meet the strict ISO 27001 standard
Ghent, 21 December 2011 – Today, Combell became the first Belgian hosting provider to meet the ISO 27001 standard. This standard imposes many obligations regarding information security on the provider. “Our customers get the best guarantees as far as security of their hosting environment is concerned, comparable to what banks offer to their customers”, says Jonas Dhaenens, Combell’s CEO. Combell is the number one provider of cloud hosting and related services in Belgium.

Combell and Symantec fight against virus spreading
Ghent, 4 November 2011 - In some media, articles have been published about abuse via an unmanaged server hosted by Combell. Recently Combell indeed received a message from Symantec reporting suspect activities. Apparently, one of our servers was used by a customer to spread the Duqu virus. That computer virus is the follower of the sophisticated Stuxnet virus, which was used to attempt to sabotage the Iranian nuclear programme.
