Combell launches the online backup service and also offers virtual servers, which allows an easier rental of personalised servers for running specific websites or personal applications.

Combell's customers can manage their services even more easily with the new support portal, which includes video support for many functions.

November 2006

Launch of my.combell.com

The company starts centralising all control panels to my.combell.com in order to allow all customers to manage their domain names via 1 central tool. Eventually, all services will be manageable through this system.

Launch of the Fax2Mail service

With this service, Combell offers fixed fax numbers coupled to a mailbox.

Launch of the .EU domain name extension

A new domain name extension for all Europeans is launched. Combell took care of several thousands of registrations for its customers.

Combell gets a new head office in Ghent

Due to the increasing number of its collaborators, Combell has moved to a new office located Antwerpsesteenweg, 377, in 9040 Ghent. All services (support, sales and administration) will be handled from Ghent. The whole server infrastructure stays in Diegem (Brussels).

December 2005

Combell reinforces its leading position by taking over more companies

Combell reinforces its leading position in the field of web hosting, mainly by taking over FirstLink Networks in Belgium. With the takeover of IPM, Combell enters the Dutch Top 100.

November 2005

Combell pulls a stunt by offering free .be domain names

Combell promotes .be domain names in Belgium and offers them for free for the first year during three months. This promotional campaign allowed Combell to register over 55,000 new .be domain names.

October 2005

Combell becomes number 1 in Belgium

According to independent sources, Combell reached first position in Belgium in the field of web hosting. On the level of the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Combell entered the top 100 of the largest web hosting providers.

Takeover of The Internet One Belgium & the Netherlands

Combell takes over all activities of the bankrupt The Internet One NV in the Netherlands and all activities of The Internet One BVBA in Hasselt, involving a huge list of domain names and, to a lesser extent, of hosting services.

Expansion and relocation of the data centre and the network capacity

Combell signs a contract with LCL Telehouse from Diegem in order to relocate the entire network infrastructure from Evere (COLT) to Diegem. In Diegem, Combell has the possibility to expand further. Combell can now couple its network to over 20 network carriers, among which Belgacom, Telenet, Scarlet, Versatel, British Telecom, COLT Telecom, etc.

Combell succeeds by offering free domain names

During the two last weeks of December, Combell offers everyone a maximum of 25 .info domain names free of charge for a period of one year. In doing so, Combell manages to register 27,000 new domain names.

Takeover of DDIT Internet services

Combell takes over all activities of DDIT and adds this customer portfolio, consisting of domain names as well as hosting packages, to Combell's existing infrastructure in Brussels.
